On Saturday morning Aidan and I went out for the city parks' annual egg hunt. The officials had taped off a pretty large area and had "hidden" eggs all over the area. The kids had the photos taken with the bunny, then faces painted. Besides the fact that Aidan was being a crazy child with his little friend, Vincent, it was a pretty good time. I'm not sure why he turns into a screaming, hitting, wrestling, running madman when his friends from school are around, but that's a story for another day.
As we approached the yellow tape and awaited the final "go" on the egg hunt, Aidan looked out across the flat, treeless, grassy field and asked, "When are they going to hide the eggs?" You see, the eggs were just simply placed all along the ground. In plain sight. Because there are no trees and there is no terrain change. Just flat, grassy, and treeless. This is Easter egg "hunting" in Lubbock. Pictures to come soon.
