I'm sure you want nothing more than to read another post on potty training. Since potties and baseball are consuming Aidan's life, there's really not much more to write about. Last night we had Paul over for dinner and to hang out. Aidan was doing well with the potty all day/night. No accidents or surprises until after dinner. He muttered something as he got out of his chair and ran down the hall. When Jason went to look for him he found Aidan, pantless, standing over his potty. He'd gone in all by himself to pee! What a big boy he is! He went again this morning with no effort. He's just doing it all by himself. We're amazed.
Because Uncle Paul played baseball, he and Jason enjoyed pitching to Aidan all night. When it was ten minutes until bedtime and Mommy finally put her foot down that it was time to come inside, they were still trying to play. Out of 18 pitches, he had a hitting streak of 17. Paul says the worst thing we can do is get him a coach. Oh, and Paul is also a child psychologist. Not that I don't trust the opinions of my own psychologist in residence, but Paul has more experience with children. So I guess we'll just follow Aidan's lead on this one too. When he wants us to, we'll pitch to him. But clearly we need more pitching practice. It's really hard to hit his extremely small strike zone.
