The Stars At Night Are Big And Bright...

...deep in the heart of Texas. Yes, our Houston trip is over and we are back safely at home. Overall I'd say a great trip. As far as Aidan goes, he travelled extremely well both going and coming. As stressful as it is to carry all that stuff-- car seat, stroller, snacks, diapers, activities for the plane, computer, DVDs, blanket, stuffed animals, etc.-- the last thing we need is a difficult child. He really was perfect on the plane and went right along with the frequent transitions from plane to airport to train to plane to bus to car. Quite an adventure for him.

Delta was terrific with our peanut allergy issues. We had a total of four flights with them on this trip. On two flights they served no peanuts at all and announced to passengers that peanut consumption should be avoided onboard. On our first flight they had cleaned especially for him. On another they checked the seats and found peanuts, so they changed our seats. On the flights that did serve them, we had a buffer zone of two or three rows to avoid contamination. It was clear that this was an important issue for them as well. Jason says that although he's not usually brand loyal, he's rather fond of Delta now.

It's hard to sum up all that we did. We really did have a great time. Aidan loved playing with Rebecca everyday. They both seemed to enjoy their slumber parties. We all enjoyed the Renaissance Festival. And we all really enjoyed meeting and getting to know Jennifer's family. We can't wait to go back for the wedding in March!

Yeah, when you're there in March I'm gonna be missing you and maybe weeping. When I'm there in JULY you're prolly gonna be laughing your ass off and shaking your head at me.
