We've had a couple of warmer days this week with today being the warmest of all. Aidan has been able to get back to his very favorite sport, baseball. He had no trouble picking it right back up, it's like he never stopped slugging all winter. I would have thought that he'd be a little out of practice but apparently not. This year he seems to have a little more power and can hit it consistently to the back fence. A couple of balls were headed over the fence to become play toys for the St. Bernard that rules the yard behind us, but those were saved by a tree.
In other news, Aidan had a trip to the Urgent Treatment Center last night to get his ears checked after he started wailing that his ear was hurting. His doctor's office is only open until noon on Saturday and closed on Sundays, of course, so we had to find a place he could go besides the ER. We were actually quite pleased with our experience and Jason turned out to know the doctor from his internship days at the prison. Given those circumstances, the doctor was very nice and had no problem writing a prescription for antibiotics. By the time Aidan woke up this morning, he was claiming to be all better. He's been outside playing for most of the day.
